Name: Sarita Amy Morse
Age: 26
Location: Monmouth Junction, NJ

I assured my father that my soon to be inked Babel fish tattoo would heal in time for Montclair State University's annual archaeological dig. It was the morning after Douglas had died, and I had just awoken to a swarm of emails, each from a different friend bringing me the sad news. By that afternoon, I would be tackling my insane fear of needles to get my ankle tattooed in honor of Mr. Adams.

During the dig that summer, my tattoo gave me the opportunity to spread the work of DNA's fantastic, and most famous series. With ages ranging from 18 to 40, I knew that I could recommend it to anyone, as the HHGG and its timeless metaphors cross all boundaries.

Early next year, I found out that there would be a memorial lecture given in London to honor Douglas's life, and support some of the causes he held most dear, the Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund and Save the Rhinos. I got a rush renewal of my passport, and spent the money I had intended to use on attending an annual archaeology meeting to fly to England.

I have never met Douglas, but he still touched my life. As I am sure is the case for countless others, whenever I need to pick myself up, or put the world in perspective, I read the HHGG. Each time, I can rely on it to open my eyes, clear my head, and make me laugh. Thanks.
