My name is Nina Kauffman, I'm 21 years old, and I have a leather-bound, gilded-edged copy of The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide. I love Douglas Adams, and I love The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. My dad introduced me to science fiction when I was about 10 years old. By age 12, I had read every book and short story pertaining to The Guide. I can tell you about the two smartest creatures on Earth (dolphins and mice), the significance of the last dying thoughts of a bowl of petunias, and the nature of coincidence on the Heart of Gold. I live The Guide. I've been waiting in suspense ever since I first heard about the possibility of a movie years ago. I know the words of every page backwards and forwards. I carry my towel everywhere, and Im not past having a couple of Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster every now and again. I even once (this is a true story) pulled random letters out of a Scrabbles bag (a la Life, the Universe, and Everything), and came up with "Once upon a hoop." I dont know about its significance, but I felt a surge of satisfaction none the less. In closing...please consider me as the geeky super fan I am, and allow me a place on the website...for Arthur's sake.
